Do want your dog wearing their muzzle to be the best time ever? Are you looking for new ways to make a game out of your dog wearing their muzzle? Or maybe you have hit a road block in your muzzle training and need some help? Then Muzzle Magic workshop is for you and your dog. In this one hour workshop we will work on taking your dog’s muzzle training to the next level of comfort and FUN. We will work on advanced skills like eating food off the floor, drinking, training and playing games – all while wearing a muzzle. This is workshop is for dogs who have already started their muzzle training and are comfortable wearing their muzzle buckled for a short time. She has a special love for shy and nervous dogs, and enjoys helping clients with reactive dogs through their treatment. She became a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) in 2012, soon after she was introduced to the sport. Nosework Leash Handling Workshop Are you and your nose work partner always tripping each other up? It’s much more fun to dance together as a team instead of colliding. Come to this 2.5 hour workshop to practice a variety of leash handling skills. This workshop is suitable for teams of all levels, as long as your dog is working on odor. Working spots are limited to 8 for optimal learning from all teams. Dogs must be comfortable being crated inside or confined in the car while other dogs are working. In addition to being soothing, massage can have many health benefits. At this workshop you’ll learn different techniques for relaxing your dog, and different ways that massage can benefit your dog physically. This workshop is suitable for dogs of all ages. It is also reactive dog friendly, with a few visually-protected reactive dog spots available. Or a shy dog running toward the muzzle from across the room in order to place her snout in the basket, eagerly anticipating her reward. These aren’t just pipe dreams; training makes them possible for dogs of varied breeds, backgrounds and temperaments. When done the proper way, muzzle training can increase the trust in you and your dog’s relationship. In the world of dog behavior, one of the most essential but misunderstood pieces of safety equipment we have is the muzzle.Dogs wear muzzles for a plethora of reasons.Unfortunately, their appearance and the judgments associated with them prevent their usage, sometimes with tragic consequences. This workshop will cover the how-to’s of muzzle training, including working through common trouble spots, as well as incorporating tricks, games and activities so that dogs feel comfortable and happy wearing a muzzle. We’ll also discuss how to tailor dogs’ muzzle training for specific scenarios like the veterinary office and leash walks. Demo dogs will be present to demonstrate muzzle conditioning, training and usage.
